1. Introduction

GetMyWink ("the Platform", "we", "us") is a private, invite-only dating platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Access is by invitation only. Invite codes are non-transferable and single-use unless otherwise stated.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to impersonate any person, submit false information, harass or abuse other users, or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose. Violations may result in immediate account termination.

4. Subscription and Payments

Access to daily matches and conversation features requires an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are subject to applicable consumer protection law. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details.

5. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the Platform: your email address, profile information you provide (name, date of birth, city, relationship preferences, about text), and usage data (last activity timestamps). We do not collect precise geolocation. Photos, if uploaded, are stored privately and never shared publicly.

6. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate the matching system, facilitate conversations between matched users, send transactional emails (match notifications, sign-in links), and maintain platform safety. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not display advertising.

7. Photo Privacy

Photos are private by default. A photo is only visible to another user when both parties in an active conversation have explicitly chosen to share their photo. Uploading a photo does not make it visible to anyone. You may revoke photo sharing at any time, and the photo will immediately stop being visible to the other person.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Conversation messages are retained for the duration of the match and are deleted when a conversation is closed. System logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days for safety and fraud prevention purposes. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — you may correct inaccurate data at any time via your profile settings.
• Right to erasure — you may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data is anonymized or permanently removed. Some records may be retained in anonymized form for legal compliance.
• Right to data portability — you may request an export of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to object — you may object to processing of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
• Right to restriction — you may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

10. Data Minimization

We apply the principle of data minimization. We collect only the data strictly necessary to provide the service. Optional fields (such as preference details and photos) are never required. You may use the Platform with minimal data by completing only the required profile fields.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side authentication, and row-level security on our database. Passwords are never stored — we use passwordless (magic link) authentication only.
